B’IONGO Miami + Guanajuato, Mexico

Presented at the Sandrell Rivers Theater debuting on August 24th,2024 and Guanajuato, Mexico on May 2nd 2025.

Biongo is both a scenic installation and an experimental performance piece. It evokes the memory of our lost behaviors while offering a culturally radical experience that immerses the audience on a visceral level.

As the Lighting Designer, my role was to heighten the emotional impact of the work through bold visual storytelling. I crafted harsh, expressive shadows; created a thunderstorm effect enriched with haze; and shaped the space with striking, sculptural spotlights. These elements worked together to deepen the atmosphere and amplify the raw energy of the performance.
